The Brief
Friends of Ferncumbe (FOF) is a dedicated group of parents, staff, and community members committed to supporting Ferncumbe C of E Primary School. Their mission is to raise vital funds for a range of projects that enhance the school’s facilities, enrich pupils’ learning experiences, and strengthen community connections.
When FOF approached us, they didn’t have a website. Without a central hub, they had no effective way to share their initiatives, keep parents and volunteers informed, or engage with local businesses and individuals who might want to get involved. They needed a professional yet approachable online presence that could raise awareness, inspire participation, and make it simple for people to contribute to the school’s success.
The site needed to appeal to multiple audiences - parents, volunteers, and local businesses - while providing a clear platform to showcase the amazing projects FOF are working on and inspire action from those who can help bring them to life.
Our Process
We worked closely with FOF to understand their goals and the audiences they wanted to reach. From the outset, it was clear that the website needed to be both inspiring and practical: a place to tell the story of their work while also making it easy for people to get involved.
The design and tone were shaped to reflect FOF’s warm, community-led approach, while presenting their work with credibility and clarity. The structure highlights their current priority - the playground project - alongside other ongoing and upcoming initiatives. A regularly updated news section keeps the community informed, while clear calls to action make it easy for visitors to volunteer, donate, or get in touch.
Our Solution
The finished site gives Friends of Ferncumbe a vibrant and easy-to-manage online hub. It showcases the projects they’re working towards, keeps parents and volunteers up to date with news, and makes it simple for businesses and individuals to engage with and support their goals.
With a clear structure, engaging content, and straightforward contact options, the website has strengthened FOF’s ability to connect with their community and secure the support they need. The result is a platform that reflects their energy and commitment while helping them achieve their fundraising ambitions for the benefit of the school and its pupils.

Single Variety Co are unique in their preserves offering, as the company name suggests, their jams, marmalades and preserves are all made with just one variety of fruit or chilli to create their jam-azing products, with award winning success.
